Jaipur 01st November, 2022, Jawahar Foundation, an initiative by Riju Jhunjhunwala announced the opening of four more Swabhiman Bhoj centres in Bhilwara on the auspicious festival of Diwali. The state of Rajasthan now has eight Swabhiman Bhoj Centres. Jawahar Foundation aims to serve 16 lakh meals through these centres by Diwali 2023.
Mr. Riju Jhunjhunwala, Founder, Jawahar Foundation Said, “We have been running Swabhiman Bhoj for the past 1 year and we have served 4 lakh meals till date. We are happy to announce that the Government of Rajasthan recognized our efforts and entrusted us four more centres which were previously being run under the Indira Rasoi Yojana scheme. Through consistent efforts towards giving back to society, we aim to serve 16 lakh meals through these 8 centres by Diwali 2023.”
Besides successfully operating in Ajmer, Banswara, Bhilwara, and Jaipur, Swabhiman Bhoj program will now be operating in Gangapur and Mandalgarh as well. Jaipur, Ajmer, Banswara and Gangapur have one center each while Bhilwara and Mandalgarh will be having two centres. These 8 centres will together serve close to 1 lakh meals per month.
